General Business - Record Keeping Clerical Office Practice - Shorthand Business The highlight of the year in Business Education was the opportunity to appear on Television at KETC in a series of programs entitled, ’’What's Happening in Education in Illinois. These educational programs were sponsored by Mr. George T. Wilkins. Superintendent of Public Instruction and under the supervision of Mr. Otis Keeler, Public Relations Director of the state office. The writing of the script and training of the students was supervised by the teachers of the Education department: Mrs. Mary O'Neal, Mrs. Marie Schrieber, Miss Angela Hahn, and Ronald Stoltz. They were assisted by Mr. Vic Sumnia, Director of KETC. Mr. William Hodge and Mr. Kenneth Bell assist- ed in making props for the show. Mr. Charles Pelan assisted in speech training of the students. Pictures of business education classrooms were also shown. Adult participants on the program were: Mr. Wilbur R. Trimpe, Superintendent of Schools of Madison County; Mrs. Mary O'Neal, Head of Business Education Department; Mrs. Marie Schreiber,Teach- er; Mr. Kermit Harden, Superintendent of Bethalto Community Unit No. 8; and Mrs. Patricia Mink Rath, State Supervisor of Distributive Education.
