With vim and vigor they baked cakes forthe Junior-Senior Prom which was the highlight of their event- ful year. Atter dissecting beetles in biology and upsetting a tew bottles of acid in the chemistry lab, the Juniors completed the last lap. There are no such beings as shy sophomores and this year's group certainly are no excep- tion. With zest the underclass- men supported the school's ex- tracurricular activities and helped to improve them through their outstanding contributions in stu- dies and athletics. You can de- termine the sophs by their carefree gait and smart looking sweaters. The picnics, the ex- ams, the fun, the work, all are a part of the sophies' life. Finally, the seasoned sophomore can look forward to that long de- sired title-upperclassman. The first activity of the Girls' Athletic Association is basketball. Each girl has a chance to compete for A and B teams in her own grade level. A basketball play day is then attended by the four A teams. Here they play the A teams of Corona, Chino, Puente, Claremont, and Bonita. This play day brings to a close the basketball season. To put her athletic stamina to a test, she then participates in speedball and then in hockey. Both of these games are played outdoors. They are similar to football in that the object of the game is to get the ball through the opponent's goal. These sports are then brought to a close with their individual play days. The Citrus girls wind up the group sports year with softball and again meet the schools of the Tri-County League at a play day. Tennis and badminton are the individual sports in G.A.A. Dual tournaments are played with each school in the league. ln addition to these the girls participate in two all-league badmin- ton and tennis tournaments. The girls at Citrus are very sports minded, and all who are out for G.A.A. take pride in the teams that represent them at play days.
