There is a Citizenship Committee to see that the citizenship in the school is up to standard. This committee issues warrants and tells who is to appear before the Court. This year the members were Bruce Stanton, Breck Nott, Barbara Landon, Donna Mosley, and Iohnny Peyton. Its first job was putting on the Freshmen-Sophomore Brawl. Later it managed Career Day which was at Citrus this year. The Welfare Council decided on what merits the Sportsmanship Awards, donated by Kenny Ferris, a Glendora jeweler, were to be given. A trophy is to be given to the outstanding athlete in football, basketball, baseball, track, and tennis. At the end of the football season the football team was honored by a Football Banquet. The toastmaster was Mr. Martinez and the speaker was Mike Pecarovich. This year's cabinet and six Iuniors attended one of the two conferences of the California Association of Student Councils. Some of the problems discussed were assemblies, student govern- ment and student representation, and the merit system. Later a conference was held here between the schools in the Tri-County League. Its main purpose was to promote a better inter-school feel- ing, but other problems concerning student government were taken up.
