9 M'YUl.l.' HQTAC' li'99 . iHal ' 1 2 To THE TOWN AND THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF LEAVENWORTH. Their kindness and 1 hospitality will be one of the many pleasant memories of the CMT Camp at Fort l Leavenworth in 1923. i I ' . . To THE CHURCHES AND THE RELIGIOUS WORKERS OF LEAVENWORTH. Their sympathetic understanding of our needs, and their efforts to supply those needs, has helped many a Candidate to write home that '4All is well. ' To THE GIRLS OF LEAVENWORTH. No soldier ever displayed greater courage than the ' charming young ladies who entrusted themselves on the same dance floor with the l ' serviceable but cumbersome foot-gear of the candidates, not 'to mention the chances they took with the ability of the CMTC boys to do the light fantastic? 'l r I To THE OFFICERS OF THE POST OF LEAVENWORTH and also their representative in the . Hostess House, Miss Elizabeth Kelly. We trust that they have had no cause to I' regret their kindness and that in the future we will be given some opportunity to' demon- Q1 Strate our gratitude. To THE CHAPLAINS OF THE POST AND THE Y. M. C. A. ORGANIZATION. Service to the soul and to the home-folks ofthe bo s is their S ecialt . And thev know their stuff. Y P Y . i To THE MEN OF THE I TH INFANTRY THE ZND CAVALRY AND THEA TH FIELD ARTILLERY. z . 2 . 9 . . They provedthemselves at all times considerate of our obvious Ignorance of things military, and were Sympathetic and efficient instructors. By their fine example, they gave the Candidates a new view of the Regular Soldier and earned our sincere respect. Special mention is due the Band. L 1 To THE OFFICERIS wHo SERVED AS OUR INSTRUCTORS AND COMPANY OFFICERS. We know V that their patience must have been sorely tried many times but if it is any consolation to them to know that we Count ourselves better men for having known them, that consolation is theirs. Thebest proof of an ofjficeris character and ability is the devotion and loyalty of his men. There are twelve CMTC organizations in this camp, and every one of them claims the best set of officers in the outfit. 4, lr I I I 1 V Page Thirty-jive fl 24 i l Lf - . . ky-.. 1.,L--..AA-.4
