In the days when we studied and dreamed and sang, When we'd sigh and laugh and adore, It's hard to think that those days are gone- Gone to return no more. Though we're scattered by fortune the whole world o'er Though the ties which unite us will sever, Yet mem'ries of days spent in old Cissna High Will remain in our hearts forever. Then we'll live those glad hours in mem'ry again Which were spent so joyously there And the days that are gone will return once more To while away hours of care. -Beulah Richoz. I g' 5 01 'vp ,563 :::: :..: THAT GRAND AND GLORIOUS FEELING The night was dark and dreary And clouds hung over-head, The boy was wan and weary As he tumbled into bed. With great sighs of contentment He snuggled in his nest, For harvest time was over At last, he could find rest. The blankets o'er his shoulders He drew with tender care, His eyes then closed in slumber Of troubles,-unaware. The oats were in the granary, The corn was in the bin, Just basketball to dream of- The tournament to win. -Paul J. Brenner. 1926 IPAGE 391

Last year the Girls' Glee Club composed of twelve members repre- sented our High School at the County Literary Contest at Watseka, The Little Five Contest at Wellington, The District Missionary Convention and at the Inter-Society Contest. This year there are twenty girls taking part in the work. Twelve were chosen to combine with the Boys' Glee Club to form our High School Chorus. They participated in the County Meet, The Little Five, Inter- Society Contest, Baccalaureate Services, Commencement Exerciseslnd several local entertainments. They also participated in the District Musi- cal Contest held at Watseka, in which they won third place. -41926 IPAGE 411
