PRlNCIPAL'S MESSAGE Ifl had but one message for youth of today, it would be that success in life does not depend on genius, Any young man or woman of ordinary intelligence, who is morally sound, above- board in his dealings, and not afraid of work should succeed in spite of obstacles and handicaps, if he plays the game fairly and squarely and keeps everlastingly at it, The possibilities before youth are measured by the determination within them, I wish to express my appreciation to allorganizations of the school for their cooperation with the staff in producing this excellent yearbook, May the memories of your fine working rela- tions be with you for many years, I challenge you to continue to uphold the high standards of ethics, scholarship, leadership and service which have contributed to the welfare of our school, our community, and our country.

DEDICA TION What we call goodness is made easier of accomplishment by a little of the oil of appreciation. This does not mean that we must all go around with an oilcan in one hand and a bouquet in the other, but it does mean that we can greatly assist people if we are genuinely and sympathet- ically appreciative of their best efforts, and aware of their finest possibilities, These are our thoughts as we dedicate this book, the Echo of 1959, to Mr. George Hubble, Mr, Hubble has used the oil of friendship frequently during his tenure in our school - this oil has re- duced the friction that accompanies our everyday living, His bouquets have been in the form of a friendly smile mixed with a bit of humor. The student body, faculty and friends understand that Mr, Hubble's work has not always been a bed of roses, but he never refuses a call for help with a stuck locker, a spilled bottle of ink, or a door that won't close, Hard work, mixed with wit and humor, is a way of life - a way of living for Mr, Hubble, As our graduates return to C,C,H,S, , we shall always hear this familiar question, 'Where is George? ,ftqtxg pf ' N -Aditi' AM fbi!-is fJM'Zj My cb CLC AJ 'fagfxfd yr7CUd!CuUQgJu 'I ' 1 lr A Wu! ff-wewig '
