Club The purpose of this club shall be to enrich the lives of Its members through fellowship, service, and the everyday living of rellglous prInclples. This club ls under the leadership of Mrs. Charles Boggs, their adviser. In order to malntaln funds for the year's actlvltles, the club maintained a refreshment booth at each home football game, and held several bake sales during the year. Various proiects for the year included glvlng a Thanksgiving and Christmas basket to a needy family, and taking part ln the underprivileged chlldren's Christmas party. An electric roaster was purchased for use In the booth. One of the blg social events of the year, to which each girl looked forward, was the annual Sweetheart Dance . ln May, the girls honored their mothers at the Mother-Daughter banquet. Club Carry my books to study hall! Bow down three times! Scrub those steps clean! These are iust three of the many commands the lnltlates car- rled out on initiation day as Junlor S. O. S. started another busy year under the guidance of Mrs. Miriam Young. Usherlng in the football season, the glrls sold football pencils, had charge of Parents' Night, and sponsored a dance after the Wllmlngton game. During the Christmas season they enioyed a carollng party cllmaxed by a gathering at the Goldschmldt home. They also participated In the annual party for little folk and contributed generously to the Tuberculosis and Polio Funds. Junior S. O. S.'s biggest and most Important proiect this year was sending a committee each month to the Home and Hospital where the girls presented a program. Stooge Club This year the Stooge Club was comprised of 25 members including five new members initiated at the beginning of the second semester. They were Dick Alkire, Jack Cook, John Horn, Bob McClure, and Bob Wellington. As usual, the Stooge Club played an active part in sports this year. Their many activities included handling of football season reserve tickets, Junior High foul shooting contest, purchase of S.C. O. L. awards, Junior High basketball medals, and football film, and the annual Stooge Banquet. Lloyd Williams Adviser ... .,,. .. .. . .Richard Boyd Hi-Y Club Any boy with a C average or better and in grades i0 through I2 is eligible for membership in the Hi-Y Club. This club is the branch or- ganization of the National Hi-Y Organization in Circleville High School. Purpose of the Hi-Y Club is To create, maintain, and extend through- out the high school and community high standards of Christian character, clean speech, clean sportsmanship, clean scholarship, and clean living. This year the club took part in many activities around school. Some of the activities were a football dance, a basketball dance, attending church as an organization once a month, presentation of a Thanksgiving program, lectures, and movies. The year's activities were climaxed with the Hi-Y Banquet on May 6. As the Christian representation here in Circleville High School the Hi-Y Club looks forward to every coming year as a further and more challenging reason for Christian service by high school boys.
