SlllBlINlllll1DlIR GEHLQASS llHIllllSGllNDllRClf Here we are at the end of our hxgh school years and the tlme has passed only too qulckly Four years ago we started our careers as dumb llttle freshmen who looked as lf we would never grow up to be senlors But we set out wlth a w1ll to accompllsh and here we are at as Late IH the fall of our f1rst year we elected our class offxcers chose blue and gold as our class colors chose the Amerxcan Beauty rose for the class flower and selected our motto Row Don t Dr1ft At the end of the year we had a p1cn1c at Dewey Park Although a couple of accldents were unceremonlously thrust 1n the program task Ruby Chalfm and Rosemary Hammelj everyone enjoyed the swlmmmg and the necessary procedure wh1ch followed namely eat 1n In our sophomore year we had several class meetmgs under the supervlslon of M155 Rams class advlser In that year we showed our worth IH athletxcs and were well represented IH all the clubs of the school Under the able leadersh1p of Don Henry our re elected pres1dent and Mr Cress our class advlser we spent a successful junlor year We showed our or1g1nal1ty by choosmg class rmgs of stone mstead of the all metal type chosen by prevlous classes The class play The Boomer was dlfferent too It was a costume play of the 1910 pe r1od and went over very well The proceeds from thlS were used to the senlors Desplte low funds the class managed to make It a huge success 1n the eyes of everyone who attended And now we are Semors' Aga1n we broke an old custom' I stead of electlng a boy as IS customary we elected JGSSIG Dresbach as our pres1dent The other offlcers are Mlllard Goode v1ce pres1dent Jean Lucas secretary and Raymond Adkms treasurer At the end of the basketball season th1s year the Sen1or g1rls team was declared the w1nner of the mtramural contests Our Sen1or class play was qulte a contrast to The Boomer Wlngs of the MOFHlHg a modern mystery requxrmg an elaborate stage sett1ng and a large cast was presented Rehearsals were started early 1n Aprll and under Mr Bowen s d1rect1on the play proved to be a success When we thmk back and recall the date of June 2 1936 we re member the swell tlme our class gave the 1936 senxors at the Junlor Sen1or Banquet Well we re lookxng forward to an entertaxnment of the same callbre from the Junlors th1s year It wxll be these banquets and plays that w1ll hnger longest 1n our memorxes after we leave hlgh school although all our act1v1t1es here w1ll be long remembered And now we feel lxke saymg Come on World do your worst we re ready MARY ELLEN MAXEY 37 7 , ,BQWMW - I l t. 1 3 . . gg Y ' 77 9 7 ' ' , .
