I r jr' ly' I l MR GOELLER MR BARNHART MRS MOORE MR MAY MR PHILLIPS llB4DAlIRlID CDH? llE3llDlIllt32fMlIlflIl4lDlINll x7 ' For several years there has been a crowded cond1t1on ln our hlgh school and It has been one of the School Board s blg problems to solve In August 1936 the Board made a request from the Federal Emergency Works Ad m1n1strat1on 1n Wash1ngton for a federal grant of S36 900 toward the erectlon of an add1t1on to the present h1gh school and Corwm grade bu1ld1ng The c1t1zens of our town approved a bond ISSUE of S50 000 to add to th1S sum Although the request for the federal grant was made 1n 1935 the approval of the grant from the Federal Government dxd not come untll October 1936 and then only under the prov1s1on that the work on the new school bulldmg begm not later than January 1937 and the bulldlng be completed w1th1n the year The Board has held numerous meetmgs many of them lastmg unt1l al most m1dn1ght workmg on plans and speclflcatlons for the new bu1ld1ng addlt1OH The school IS mdebted greatly to the members of the board who de vote much of thelr valuable t1me to our 1nterests The members of thls group mclude Mr Charles H May presxdent Mr C R Barnhart clerk Mr Lawrence Goeller Mrs Howard B Moore and Dr G D Ph11l1pS WAHNITA BARNHART 37 . if l X . . . , .
