He has studied at Franklin College, College of the Bible, Transylvania University, and was a graduate student at Kentucky State, Indiana, and Chi- cago. He taught in Franklin Col- lege, Virginia Christian College, Transylvania University, Bethany College, and Mccarvey Bible Col- lege. In l928 he became President of C. B. S. In 194-0 his name ap- peared in the Biographical En- cyclopedia of the World. He is Professor of Hermeneutics and Exegesis, Acts, and Pauline Epistles. ROBERT T. DRAKE A. B., A. M., B. D. Professor Drake came to C. B. S. from Evona, Kentucky. He began his academic work at J. B. C. but came to C. B. S. for his degrees. He has taken graduate work at Southern Baptist, University of Denver, Xavier University, and also has had special studies in Europe, Palestine, and Egypt. He heads the Departments of Archaeo- logy, Philosophy, and cognate sub- jects. He has contributed to the Biblical literary Held by writing Bible School lessons, articles, and reviews of books. Professor Drake is Dean of Men. LOUIS N. WETZEL B. S. L., M. A. New on the faculty this year is Professor Wetzel. He is from Littleton, WI. Va. He received his B. S. L. from the Seminary, and took work at the Conservatory of Music. He received his M. A. from the University of Denver, where he served as an assistant in tl1e speech department. Professor Wetzel heads our Department of Speech. A. B., A. M., B. D. Professor Foster is from Owen- ton, Kentucky. He received his edu- cation at Transylvania University and the College of the Bible. He then studied at Yale Divinity School and Yale University. Later he studied at Harvard. He began his professorship by lecturing on the Life of Christ and New Testa- ment Introduction at the McCarvey Bible College. Then he became Head of the College at C. B. S.. and Professor of Creek and New Testament. He has written a num- ber of books, quarterlies, and ar- ticles for magazines. G El J RCE MARK ELLIOTT A. B., A. VI. Professor Elliott heads our Theological and Apologetics De- partments. He has studied in the following schools: International Christian Bible College, University of Cincinnati, C. B. S., Wfilming- ton College, Southern Baptist Seminary. and Hebrew Union Col- lege. Professor Elliott has written for a number of periodicals of the brotherhood. BERTHA FILER A. B., M. A. Miss Filer heads our English Department. She received her de- grees from C. B. S., but also took work at Wilmington College, and University of Cincinnati. Miss Filer is from Spring Valley, Ohio. D. D. Professor Boswell is from Co- lumbus, Mississippi. He studied at Transylvania University and the College of the Bible, with special studies under Dr. Clinton Lock- hart. He is a preacher, lecturerer, educator, and social worker. He has written a number of books and articles for magazines. His name appears in Wh41,s Who in Amer- ica. Professor Boswell teaches Old Testament and C h ri s t ia n Doctrine. ALBERT D. CARVER A. B. Among the younger graduates to return to their Alma Mater to in- struct is Professor Carver from Springfield, Ohio, 47411. Since his graduation he has studied at the Un i ve r s i t y of Cincinnati, and Xavier University. Professor Carver teaches Creek and Hebrew in the Language Department. JOHN A. WILSON A. B. Besides his ministry at Bridge- town, Professor Wilsoli comes to the Seminary to teach in the field of Personal Evangelism. He at- tended Parks College, Parksville, Missouri, and then came to C. B.
