Commander Eric Bruce Shaver, USn Commander Eric B. Shaver was bom in Washington, D.C. in 1949. He graduated from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, Virginia in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. Entering the Mavy through the Reserve Officer Candidate (ROC) Program he was Commissioned an Ensign at Officer Candidate School, riewport, Rhode Island in September 1971. Commander Shaver ' s initial sea tours included duty on USS AL- LEN M. SUMMER (DD692), USS STEIMAKER (DD863) and with Am- phibious Group TWO. As a Depart- ment Head he served as Engineer Of- ficer in USS THOMAS C. HART (FF 1092) and First Lieutenant in USS MOUNT BAKER (AE 34). Subsequent sea tours included Executive Officer in USS MILWAUKEE (AOR 2) and Chief Staff Officer to Commander Combat Logistics Squadron FOUR. Commander Shaver ' s shore tours have included duty on COMMA VSUR- FLAMT Stafl ' as Force Personnel and Retention Officer. He graduated with distinction from the Naval Command and Staff Course of the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island and simultaneously earned a Master of Science Degree in Management from Salve Regina College in Newport, Rhode Island. Commander Shaver ' s personal awards include the Meritorious Ser- vice Medal and the Navy Commenda- tion Medal with Gold Star in lieu of second award. Commander Shaver is married to the former Linda Bullock of Ariing- ton, Virginia. They have two chil- dren: Holly and Nathan.

LCDR Sharon L. Carrasco, USN Lieutenant Commander Carrasco is from a navy family. She re- ceived a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master ' s Degree in History Edu- cation from Framingham State College. She joined the Mavy through Officer Candidates School In riewport Rhode Island. LCDR Carrasco ' s Maval career be- gan ashore in the Chief of Maval Operations Communications Center in the Pentagon. Her first sea tour was in 1982 on board USS YOSEMITE (AD-19) as Ad- ministration Officer and Safety Of- ficer. Immediately following she went to the USS DIXOn (AS-37) as Operations Officer and navigator. Her second Department Head tour was on the Maritime Preposi- tioning Ship Squadron One staff onboard SS PFC EUQEnE A OBREQOn as Staff Operations Of- ficer. In 1988 she became Com- manding Officer of Military Sealift Command Office in Long Beach Califomia. LCDR Carrasco came to CIMARROn in May of 1990 as Executive Officer.
