Superintendent Our superintendent of schools was Mr. Yoder. Through Mr. Yoder's office filtered the various activities which we had with other county schools. Mr. Yoder and his office co-ordinated the various phases of our school program. His office was re- sponsible for the organizing of the inter-school athletic and speech programs. Through an as- sembly of county teachers. which met with him. the various school books were chosen. His office was also responsible for the setting of our school calendar. Without Mr. Yoder's help, our school could not function so efficiently as it does. Trustees Our school trustees were from top to bottom as follows: Mr. Shew. Mr. Gordon. and Mr. Diffen- darfer. These are the fellows you hardly ever got to know. They acted like a catalyst in a chemical reaction. They co-ordinated the people of the community with the faculty to create the best possible harmony. The trustees were not only responsible for the hiring of school personnel, but they also ordered school supplies and worked with the county superintendent of schools to co- ordinate the school program. K Mr. Shew served as trustee of Smith Township for the first part of our school year. He was suc- ceeded on January 1. by Mr. Gordon. Mr. Diffen- darfer was the trustee representing the Green Township students that attended our school. .-agp, f 12' Z 6
