Ad- rian Cook and Jerry McCoy served as student conductors. The band had a very active season. It had appeared at Albion Street Fair, North Webster Mermaid Festival, Auburn Free Fair, as well as in several local affairs. It partici- pated in the Fall Marching Contest in Fort Wayne and also in the High School Band Fes- tival at Purdue University. The band pre- sented two formal concerts, one at Christmas and the other in the spring. It also entered the District Auditions Contest sponsored by the Music Educators of Indiana. The band loses four members by grad- uation this year but has sufficient recruits to hold its number or may even increase them for the coming year.
