Bussard hails from Peru, and after gradu atrng from Bunker Hill High School, he attended Ball State Teacher's College. He enlisted in the Army rn May, 1942, after recervrng hrs drscharge, he attended Ind1anaUn1vers1ty where he recerved a M.A. Degree The past srx years he has been our coach and has taught physrcal educauon and socral science. Mrs. CAROLYN HOLMES Mrs. Holmes comes from Roanoke, Indrana, where she attended hrgh school. After receiving her degree from Manchester College, she taught at New Carlisle and then came to Churubusco. At present she rs sponsor of the Freshman Class and she teaches Englrsh and Art. Mr WOODROW INKS Mr. Inks' graduated from Lincoln High School in Plymouth, Indiana, although Rochester, Indiana, is ' f r 3 1X2 his home town. Before entering the Army 0 years, he attended Indiana Central College and taught at Churubusco three years. After his discharge he en rolled in Indiana University and received his M.A Degree. He then returned to Churubusco. After gettmg somewhat acquarnted they elected offrcers For therr frrstyear rn hrgh school there was qurte a brt of excrtement for awhtle The Home Economrcs grrls gave the Agrrcultural boys a party On November 28 6 boys traveled to Chrcago to see the Internattonal Lrvestock Exposrtton Mr John Marks acted as freshmen spon sor hTwo new students Norma Cook and Roger Stampe came from dtfferent schools to be added to t e class At the begrnmng oftherr sophomore year Jerry Barker and Walter Wllson were added to the class brrngrng the total to 58 On October 14 they held therr class party at Drck Flower s woods A hayrrde completed the party and although one tractor broke down everyone had a wonderful trme Mr Wtlllam Pad gett acted as thetr sponsor for the sophomore year Now for therr Jollyjumor year The offrcers were elected and they began thetr laborrous task of earnrng money for the Junror Semor Banquet In November everyone was excrted for they had recerved thetr class rrngs The mam event of therr year was the Jumor Semor Banquet whrch was held Aprrl 28 at the Jumor Chamber of Commerce Burldmg tn Fort Wayne Mr Joseph Starkey was therr able spon sor durmg thrs very successful year There were three new members Martha Myers Lrllran Korle and Frerda Lertch They are now supposedly sophrstrcated semors A meettng was held the second week of school rn whrch they elected therr offrcers Wrth Mrs Harrrs as therr sponsor semor acttvrtres began tmmedrately They held therr class party at Drck Flower s woods on September 17 wrth every one havmg a glorrous trme Many thmgs were done to make the class of 1952 a long remembered one One new member 11m Crowe was added to the class makrng a total of 43 ll'll Ill!!
