GFI MHS. REPORT ON THE NEW SCHOOL The past year has seen the beginning of our new 24-room elementary school on the Fairbanks Road site. On July 28th, the final contracts were let to the lowest bidder establishing the total cost of the site, building, equipment, and fees at S9'76,96l. The money was raised by sale of bonds amortizing over a 30 year period at an interest rate of 2.407o, The total bond issue ofS998,000,000 included 320,000 for the purchase of an additional site on Route 33A in Chili, which will be used for future expansion. The construction contract calls for completion of the Fairbanks Road building by September Of 1955. Under present plans the new building will house all of the children in grades one through six. The Kindergarten will be housed in the present North Chili building and grades seven through twelve will continue at the high school building in Churchville. Aside from the M classrooms, included in the new building there will also be a playroom, auditeria fauditorium-cafeteriab, library, and various storage rooms.
