This past year has seen the beginning of the actual construction of the new 24 room elementary school on the Fairbanks road site. This has meant a great deal of extra work for the Board, but at the same time the members have taken a great deal of pleasure in seeing the definite result of their planning finally take shape. The new building is promised for September occupancy. Church- ville-Chili District finds itself in the same situation as most of the districts in New York State that lie within commuting dis- tance of a large city, New houses continue to be built in our area which provide homes for the new children who continue to increase our enrollment each year. It begins to appear that the new building on Fairbanks Road is only the first step in solving the school space problem of the district. Plans will be made for a picnic in the Spring, and we are also hoping that some kind of get- together may be planned around the middle of Feb- ruary.
