D ir The energy crisis seemed to have little effect on the number of students who drove to school. Daylight saving time, which was instituted to save energy, had a greater effect since most of the year we came to school in the dark. The morning announcements often ended with a list of cars with their lights on. At mid-year the Lord ' s Prayer was mysteriously dropped from the announcements and a devotional though took its place. Meetings for various groups were packed into homeroom time as well as collecting dues, subscriptions, and charity money. The threats of being sent to the office did little to club tardiness. -—4

Official red tape is one of the school ' s most endearing characteristics. We must be insured, passed from place to place with notes and our cars must be registered and stickered. Our scores from tests, the importance of which we never realize, must be coded and sent off so other copies can again be coded and sent elsewhere. Money must be signed for by three people and then three copies kept! These are just a few examples, and on these pages are just a few of the forms that allow, restria, record, and control our lives.
