BECK SLAD1: PHILLIPS Senior Class Prophecy The year is now 1963. Let's take a short trip to a New York airport, where there are a few special people arriving. Maybe you will remember some of them, their faces are familiar. Here comes the big silver plane now. It lands and the passengers are albout to step down. The first couple we see are the famous movie stars, Mr. Frederick Fletcher and Miss Charlotte Martin. They have just made a new lillm, The Great Lover.', Here comes one of the best women scientists in the world today, Dr. Carolyn Garrenton. With her is the famous brain sungeon, Doctor Donald Sly. Why, 'what's this? There is some fm-usic coming from somewhere. Oh! Now we can see, it's none other than Dicky Scott and his band, The Hot Scott Skip- persf' They are marching down the runway led by Miss Patsy Bush, who is tiwirling 'her -well-known diamond studded fbaton. There is Mr. Buxton Norfieet, youlve heard of the Norfleet Models haven't you? Well, here he is now with three of his beautiful girls: Miss Betsy Anne Dixon, Miss Bevenlfy Butler, and Miss Lois Hughes. Mr. Norfleet is talking to someone, let's see who it is. Why, it's -the star of the T.V. show The Quiet Man, Mr. Hilton Whitehurst. Suppose We go over and listen in on some of the conversation of the engineers who have arrived for a convention. Mr. Arthur Halstead, who is head of the State Agriculture Engineers, and 'Mr. John Vick, a Mechanical engineer, and Mr. Robert Tolson, the renowned electrical engineer are discussing a problem of where to get lunch. They finally decide to go to Miss Mina Hale's swank Drive-in-Restaurant. There is someone limping out of the plane. It's the new champion stock car racer, Mr. Bill Speedy,' Hagy. With him is the highly talked of criminal lawyer, Mr. Larry Wise. Mr. James Jean, the coach of the U. S. International Footlball team, just step- ped down with one of his best players, Lanny Sly. Also, with Mr. Jean is the famous women's basketball star, 'Miss Jackie Tigner. ' The hostess' of -the p-lane, Miss Shirley Wilfong, Miss Susan Oldfield, and Miss Judy Brooks, have just called for the baggage -boys to help the multi-million- aire, Glenn Wfhiltlock, carry his money. Following him is his secretary, Miss Jo Ann Branch. Next to step out are theifamous Toni Tfwins, Bdbfby Sue and Betty Lou Trout- man. Right behind them we can see, because h-e stands almost two feet higher, the U. S. Baskedball champion, Mr. Leon Remmington. Well, what a surprise this isl There is Mr. Sam York, who just became lVlr. America. The lovely 'girl beside him is The Potato 'Cfhip Queen, Miss Marlene Dixon. Stepping out of the plane now is Mr. Jay Garrett, The Speed Boat King, who just set a new world record. Next is Reverend Irvin Johnson with the famous artist, Robert Albertia. There is Mr. Louis Schiemann, who owns one of the 'biggest cattle farms in the United States, discussing the prolblem of Bug-Control with the bacteriolegist, Robert Thompson. Miss Martha Whittaker, who is one of the ten best dressed women in the United States, is talking to Joyce White, the owner of a big chain of dairies, about a book. If we listen close enough we -will find that it is one of Joy-ce Mc-Lain's new novels. Here comes Miss Janet Muse, the famous dancing teacher with several of her students. To finish the procession, out steps Miss Mary Sue 'Meads, socially prominent debutante, with a midshipman on each arm.
