Student council members were also responsible for the awards given at the Awards' Assembly, the Christmas tree, the upkeep of the flower garden in the court, and for a gift of $500 to the school library. To help keep the school running smoothly, committees serve in the fields of safety, locker inspection, and building and grounds. Students have benefited by the continuation of the doughnut, brownie, and paper sales sp on sor ed by the council. Student councils are organized to serve the students and to work along with the teachers and counselors. This is just what our organization has done. 70
