PEPPY Marches, original arrangements and school spirit were all provided by the band at assemblies, games, and other functions to add zest and pleasure at the gatherings. Directed by Allan Fitield, the band members tirst Traveled to Carson City on Admission Day where they gave an excellent performance. Proceeds from the annual music concert lteld in November went to the tund for badly needed new uniforms. Band members furnished both group and solo numbers for the concert. A revision ot the constitution by band members provided for a rigid point system, which will enable band members to earn letters before their graduating year. Band members also traveled to Lovelock for the spring band festival and also rendered selections at the Junior Frolic and the band assembly. WITH a total record of four wins, four losses, the Greenwave eleven ended their 1950 season with a total of 103 points against their opponents' 158. After losses to the White Pine Bobcats and the Hawthorne Serpents, the Wave drowned the Carson Senators, knocked an experienced Douglas quintet from the undefeated rank, and then took their annual drubbing from a strong Reno Huskies tearn. The Wave then won a breathtaker from the Yerington Lions, lost to the Sparks Railroaders, and ended their season with an Armistice Day win over the Elko Indians. Fallon scoring honors were taken by Mick Whalen, acclaimed one of the finest break-away left halfbacks in the state, with eleven touchdowns and three con- versions. Mick Whalen and Mike Evans were awarded berths on the all-state second string. 21:54 wt.-as -dvi nh -5, Q K 3 ', :Ibn ,A rs..q,gLg..h- 9 lg 1-va.. ill KKKM Aw .A on-45 lg'-Hunan ml gg. 32.-f WWW,-sfijyfgi .c X ,,,, Q S.. 3.14 npr: 'W' -J A J The squad does thelr daxly dozen 2 Jack Davxs football coach and Chub Drakuhch assxst ant coach 3 Charge' Men' 4 The band section rooters watch mtently 5 Mr Jack Davxs and hms momentary bench warmers 70 ww .
