ANNUAL STAFF After questioning authorities on the subject, the Annual Staff decided that a regular Lahontan could not be published. The problem, then, was, were we to go with- out a yearbook altogether? Everyone said no, so the staff searched around to find a suitable substitute and the 1943 Greenwave is the result. The staff was crowded for time, so they enlisted the support of the jounalism class. The problems were many, but both groups dug in with a will, and, although there are fewer pictures, all activities, classes, and organizations are fully discussed. We are grateful to Allan K. Dalbey and his staff at the Fallon Eagle, to the Nevada Engravers, to Mrs. Mary Fos- ter at the 'Fallon Photo Shop and to the Journalism class who contributed of their time and talent in giving us our victory Greenwave for 1943. Back Row: Anita Cislini. Arthur Vieira, William Davis, Business Manager, Ray Swindlehurst, Bob Morris, Ernest Lattin. - Front Row: Barbara Mills, Patricia Babb, Robert Walker, Emma Lou Winder, Carmen Erquiaga, Charlotte Young, Editor.

Any and all high school problems are dumped in the laps of the executive committee before they can be hasheal over in the student body. Dance dates, finances, amend- ments to the constitution, music bills, athletic problems-- all of them go to the meetings of these kids. They are the student body officers, and the class presidents, along with Walter Johnson, the principal, who keeps them from get- ting too many fly-a-way ideas. If we went in the high school's front door on almost any Monday night, we'd find the school board and Walter Johnson scratching their heads over the interests of the pupils and parents of Churchill County. Their gray hairs might come from wondering howthey ever got into such a job, and why, but such contemplation might lead' to deeper channels. Three cheers for Don Chapman, Frank J. Scholz, Francis Harrigan, retired member, and Waldo Davis.

FACULTY In spite of all the oaths and arguments around report card time, the students will probably remember the teachers as humans rather than tyrants after they get out of high school. Most of the faculty can look the other way when the little faults all of us have keep us from coming up to our standards. Every year We miss the old teachers that leave us, but We get to know the new ones, and learn new ways of skip- ping assignments for new teachersg new ways to throw them off the subjectg then When they leave we start all over again. To say that the teachers were all we remember from high school wouldn't be quite right, but to forget them entirely wouldn't be accurate, either. '
