I L in S 25 Ely? f X2 If Although not as well known and supported as the other sports's teams at Churchill, the Charger Hockey Team once again proved that they are not a team to be ignored. Year after year the mighty Chargers dominate the local hockey scene. The team members face obstacles virtually unknown to other Churchill sports- expensive equipment, late practices, home games at the Civic Arena, varying starting times for games, and a lack of school-wide fan support. In spite of this the Charger Hockey Team continues to bring pride and victory to Churchill High School. 6 ilifp 1' :wi Q MQSW new S 1 Q Sports 69 Long Distance Run Around.- This year both the boys' and girls' Cross Country Team was coached by Mr. Paul Raith with Andy Moss and Keith Fridel as the boys' captains and Donna Andreas and Maryellen Noreika as the captains for the girls' team. The girls' team this year could only be described as outstanding with an undefeated record once again. Since many of the runners are underclassmen the team should tri- umph once again next season ex- tending their record of excellence over the years even further. The boys' team was not to be outdone by the girls' team and they also finished the season with a winning record.
