The Junior Statesmen of America presents the opportunity for high school students to learn the fundamental responsibil- ities of American citizenship in an open, fair and bipartisan forum, Students on high school campuses across the country are concerned about the world around them and interested in politics government, and education and the future of America. The Junior State exists for these students. The Junior State is a non-partisan, non-prom, student-run organization that serves to educate, represent and involve students in the politi- cal process.
