The large, three -story, rectangular house was beautified by Mr. I. Carroll Johnston and now serves as the school Administration Building, pictured on the frontispiece. In the first years of the 18th centruy, Jan Lukens, a Dutch settler, purchased a 500-acre tract, east of what has since become Kulpsville.
