Absent: Con Foley, lack Sullivan and Mike Walsh. HE BAND this year, was one of the finest ever seen or heard at Central. Under the master- ful direction of Mr. Martin Cesare, under the guidance of Brothers O'Donnell and Regan as Moderators and with the leadership of their officers: Con Foley, Presidentg Tom Schu- macher, Vice-President, John Sullivan, Secretary, Ray Gilmore, Treasurerg and Martin Favero, 2nd Vice-President, the Central Band ranked among the best in the state. During the football season the Combined Band performed at all of the home games and at two out-of-town games. Some of the themes presented were: The Radio-T.V. Theme , The Four Seasons , Early American Thanksgiving , and A Travelogue . Through the generosity of the Butte people, the Band and Twirlers were able to make the cross-state trip to Glendive where the Four Sea- sons theme thrilled the audience once more. The Band is most grateful to all the wonderful people who gave their support throughout the entire year, to their Director, Mr. Cesare and to their Moderators, Brothers O'Donnell and Regan.

TUMBLING AT CENTRAL , I y , REV. BRO. T. A. O'HARE --.E ! zz 'x 5 IN EARLY SEPTEMBER, a gFOii1PL,'0f young but enthusiastic boys turned out for the tumb- ling team. Tumbling requires muscular co- ordination and team work and long hours of practice. Under the direction of Rev. Brother Thomas A. O'Hare the boys with their talented Senior leaders: Charles Nugent, and Jerry Sul- livan, Co-Captains, and Ray Mogus, Bill Janson and Tubie Johnson. These boys have merited the praise and plaudits of experts and onlookers alike as one of the finest tumbling organizations ever produced at Central. They thrilled the audiences at the Central Tournament, Rocky Mountain Sportsman As- sociation, A. C. M. Club, Harlem Globetrotter Game, and Butte Rolio Benefit. They also traveled to Anaconda, Lewistown, Philipsburg, Boulder and Mfarm Springs high-lighting their seasons appearance they performed before 7,500 thrilled people at the State Basketball Tourna- II16I1t.
