MR. MARTIN CESARE The Band owes a very deep debt of grati- tude to its moderators Brothers O'Donnell and Regan. Brother O'Donnell had charge of the band until the end of the football season, when his many duties as Vice-Principal of the school forced him to resign. It was through his effort and untiring work that the Band was able to put on many of the fine performances during the year. Brother O'Donnell also arranged for the Band to make the trip to Livingston and he was the driving force behind the Campaign to send the Band to Glendive. He certainly de- serves a great deal of credit for his fine work. Brother Regan found things a little quieter when he took over, because the mad rush of the football season had let up. Nevertheless, Brother stepped in and continued to help Mr. Cesare make the Band one of the best. To him also goes much credit for a job well done. As always, Mr. Cesare has produced a fine repertoire of both classical and popular music. During football season he directed the combined Boys' and Girls' Bands in performances out- standing both in music and showmanship. Dur- ing the basketball season he and the Band de- lighted the crowds with the many unusual ar- rangements of the current popular tunes. With his fine musical background he has been able to arrange many unusual concerts which have been presented in performances throughout Butte. In these concerts he has combined the very best classical, semiclassical, modern and popular compositions, and arranged them for a smaller band. Central can indeed be proud and happy to have such a master of music at the head of the Music Department. REV. BRO. C. A. 0'DONNqELL
