Moderator: Mrs. Simonian The French Club, one of the rising clubs in school, attracts iembers other than French scholars. The French Club in- 'oduces its members to the French culture and lifestyle, through ertain activities. One big activity is their picnic composed of rench food. The French Club though, is not iust a French riented club. They do many things for the school community CHESS CLUB ,us int: Mr. Wong, John Scott, Greg Hood, Bob Schriner Second: Mark Long, n Nichols, David Craig, Duane Boning, Ben Williams, Third: John Giaroli, 1 Robinson, Paul Linxwiler, Steve Santucci, John Shannon Raymond Wah, ve Morrow, Fred Walters Under the guidance of Mr. Wong, the Chess Club continues to excel in interscholastic competition. After completing nine rounds of play, the club has a good chance of winning the city. The club also receives visits from grandmasters who lecture on the game of chess.

SPANISH CLUB The Spanish Club, having been in existence only five years, is one of the largest clubs in school. purpose of the club is to spread the knowledge and appreciation of the Spanish language. They complish this goal in several ways, One of their major projects is the celebration of Columbus Day. Spanish Club had a great year in 1977-78, and the future looks bright for the club because of the underclassmen who can assume the positions of leadership. DRAMA The main purpose of the C.B.H.S. Drama Club is to give students a chance to get into some form of the theater. The club was very successful this year and will be in the future.
