Baird. 108 and State Titles ah.a..a...a Ken Walsh The 1969 golf team should again be among the favorites for the City Champ- ionship title. Faced with the loss of two seniors from last year's squad, Coach Nafe David has begun molding his young team into a well-functioning unit capable of regaining the State Champ- ionship. This year's team must also de- fend a three-year record that is marred by but one defeat. With diligent prac- tice and steady play in competition the golfers should gain both goals.

F. ' 6 Racquet-Men Anticipate Excellence The 1969 tennis team superbly guided by Brother Lawrence Gulde, looks forward to a most successful campaign. Returning lettermen Reed Lowrance, John Wills, and John Nichols lead the parade of court tal- ent. A welcome addition to the squad is Gary Albertine, one of the top junior play- ers in the South. The Brothers finished fast last year, completing the season second in the Red Division behind Central. In indi- vidual play Reed Lowrance finished run- ner-up in the Red Division singles and teamed with John Wills to capture the sec- ond spot in the Division doubles.
