CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HIGH SCHOOL 5900 WALNUT GROVE ROAD MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE 38117 MEMBERS OF THE GRADUATING CLASS: Every member of our faculty extends to each of you congratulations on having reached this most important milestone in your young lives. With pleasure, we receive you into the most devoted alumni association in the world. Wherever you go you shall be wel- comed into the society of which you are now a part. You carry an honored name, a great heritage, an impressive responsibility to be true to those who like you are grad- uates of a Christian Brothers school. Your faithfulness, personal integrity, loyalty, and dignity must always make you a worthy possessor of the title, A Christian Brothers Boy. Three things are necessary for the salvation of man, St. Thomas Aquinas wrote: To know what you ought to believe, to know what you ought to desire, and to know what you ought to do. Your education at Christian Brothers High School has, I am sure, provided you with these essentials. It has also furnished you with the knowledge and skills to do what you ought to do. Now, it is up to you to do it and I trust that you will not be unmindful of how effectively your talents and knowledge can benefit both you and your fellow man. May you live a long life, long enough to do much good. The decisions of the next few months and years are your own. We will watch, we will pray, we will be concerned, we will listen, we will help to whatever extent we can. lf you choose to let opportuni- ties pass you by, there is nothing much we can do to stop you. If on the other hand, you choose for life, for God, for your own better self, then graduates, there are many consoling, satisfying and happy days ahead. Sincerely, Brother J. Stephen, F.S.C.
