The Freshman football team of Christian Brothers, under the expert direction of Coaches Moran and Crone, fought to a three way tie for their division championship. The team opened the season with a 33-0 win over Fairview and, after victories over Sher- wood, Colonial, and Frayser, ended the season with a decisive 20-6 victory over Kingsbury. The freshman team suffered its only defeat in a hard fought 7-6 battle with Catholic Junior High. The frosh players gained much confidence and experience during their six game schedule. They should be a welcome addition to the T966-67 varsity squad. af' :af I 6368. Q' Coaches Moran and Crone study the Fairview game FIRST ROW: J. Johnson fmgnj, J. Sanders, M. Gardino, R. Guided by Coach Ray Kamler, the Freshman Basketball team had an exciting year, capturing second place in District One with a 13-4 record. Only powerful Colonial ex- perienced any success in stopping the Baby Brothers, accounting for three of the team's four setbacks. Undoubtedly the most one-sided victory in Freshman team history was C.B.H.S.'s 91-38 trouncing of Fairview, in which Duane Donahoo netted 48 points. This one outing alone verifies that the Freshman cagers offer much in the future of Christian Brothers High School bas- ketball.
