U.S. om, CJ: CLASS OF I958 CLASS OFFICERS One of the problems confronting a Senior Class at the outset of its final year, is the selection of Class Officers. Men of quality are needed for the good . of the class as well as for the school in general. The requirements to hold office are high. Men of good character possessing qualities of leadership are what the men of the Senior Class want their officers to have. The Senior Class was privileged to have just such men ready to take up the leadership of the Class of '58, Some of these men have held their posi- tions in the past years. All have culminated their years at Christian Brothers by bringing their class and their school through a successful year. DAVID LEE BAUMAN SENIOR SECRETARY 728 So. 16th St. Favorite Saying . . . Eli? BROTHER JOEL, F.S.C., B.S.S., M A. SENIOR ADVISOR Religion IV, Bookkeeping Business Law, Salesmanship Sociology, Economic Problems Athletic Director The ready smile, the quick retort, such is Brother Joel. In his work as Athletic Director, Brother Joel has become well acquainted with all the students of Christian Brothers. The sacrifices he makes in that position have won for him the esteem of the student body. But what has deepened that respect is Brother's work in the classroom. As a teacher Brother Joel demands the best from his students because he re- quires the same of himself. He is firm, yet just and kind. Qualities such as these have left their im- pression on us and we know we are better men for having been under the direction of Brother Joel. BROTHER JUSTIN, F.S.C., M.S. SENIOR ADVISOR Religion IV, Biology, Plane Geometry. A boy 's brother, the Christian Brother. This standard description of Christian Brothers fits Justin perfectly. Born and raised in St. Joseph having spent many of his teaching years here, Brother Justin thoroughly knows our city, our school, and its students. A boy 's interest and problems are Brother Justin's for such is his genuine concern for everything connected with Christian Brothers. A willingnessto help coupled with understanding and kindness are outstanding qualities of Brother Justin. He has helped us, guided us and formed us in more ways than we know. But this we do know. One of the blessings of our high school days is to have been closely as- sociated with Brother Justin. VISORS .2
