Q' Q11 H1151 si: ...V A- 6 GRCUND BREAKING CEREMONIES We, the Senior Class of 1973, would like to dedicate our yearbook to Brother Albert Bernard McKenna, for his many years of out- standing devotion and service to the Christian Brothers, and to C.B.A., Lincroft in particular. Having been born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in 1914, Brother Bernard entered the Brothers' Novitiate in Pocantico Hills, New York on June 28, 1930. Brother concluded his training in August, 1939, when he took his perpetual vows at Oakdale, New York. Brother Bernard taught for many years at La Salle Military Academy, Oakdale, and then at St. Bernard High School in New York City. Brother arrived at Lincroft on June 25, 1959, and undertook a very instrumental role in the founding of Christian Brothers Acad- emy. He served as first Principal of C.B.A. from 1959 to 1965, firmly establishing the school as one of the finest in the state. After leaving C.B.A. for five years to teach at C.B.A., Syracuse, Brother returned to Lincroft in 1970 to observe the results of his labor. Brother is now teaching Algebra I to our fresh- men, and takes an active part in the intra- mural football program at C.B.A. We would like to thank Brother Bernard for helping to make C.B.A. a reality for so many young boys, and for providing a con- stant inspiration for all the members of the C.B.A. community.
