On the occasion of the tenth graduating class of Christian Brothers Academy, we, the Senior Class of 1972, gratefully dedicate our yearbook to a man who has spent twenty years teaching in Christian Brothers schools, Mr. Robert Mason. Mr. Mason began his teaching career with the Brothers at Ha Salle Military Academy, Oakdale, Long Island. He had graduated from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Mass., with an abundance of scholastic and athletic honors. During his ltenure at La Salle Military Academy, Mr. Mason taught Eng- llish and coached a number of sports, being particularly suc- cessful in football in the Catholic School League and was named coach of the year for his efforts. When C.B.A. opened in 1961, Mr. Mason was here to continue his efforts as teacher, coach and athletic director. He continued to do here the excellent iob he had done at Oakdale. We dedicate our book to Mr. Mason, however, not because of his achievements, but rather because of the kind of man we perceive behind the teacher and coach. The key to his success as a Christian educator is his devotion to God and the truth passed down to us by Christ, His Son. This love of God and the dedication to passing on His truth by teaching and example are the key to this man's life and success as a molder of youth. Mr. Mason, you have our eternal gratitude for what you have given us and your other students over the past twenty years. We pray that God will continue to bless your efforts and shower His rewards on you and yours. 3
