BISHOP'S OFFICE 465 STATE STREET ALBANYIO.N Y Dear Brothers: It is with sentiments of joy and anticipation that we approach the forth- coming celebration of the Centenary of the founding of Christian Brothers Academy in the City of Albany. A hardy band of brothers set forth upon the rugged slopes of the city in 1859 -- to lay the foundations of a unique Christian school for boys. This institution has prospered and grown strong. Dedicated men they Were, imbued with a strong Christian faith, and a conviction that the American boy is willing and ready to serve his God -- and his country too. lt is our happy privilege to extend our congratulations to the Christian Brothers of this generation, who carry on the glorious tradition established by those pioneers a century ago.
