The Freshman Basketball team was again coached lay Brother Felix, who carried a large squad of twenty players throughout the season. Sev- eral ot' the tallest of the Freshmen were, early in the year. moved up to the Jay Vee squad. This was done to help in their faster development by giving them experience in tough- er competition. Page vlinvfy-four The Junior Varsity's season was not a winning one this year, but in several of their games they showed that potentially they were varsity material. Coach Whalen worked through the season with the big men , keeping in mind that the pres- ent basketball era calls for height under the basket. Because of busi- ness pressure, Coach Whalen was unable to devote as much time as he would have wished to the team. but Coaeh O'Haire and Tom Carroll former C. B. A. star, helped out in developing the team.

Rifle Team withdrew from the Hudson Valley League in order to devote itself to Competition against other military academies. The season, extending from November to March, was a most successful one.
