This was in large measure due to the splendid coach- ing of the contestants by Mr. Walter Shea- han, an alumnus of C. B.A., Class of '39, and a prominent speaker on both radio and TV in the Capitol District. Richard Salis- bury and Fred llolt won the Senior and Junior Contests respectively, and Pat Grossi came first in the Sophomore Divis- ion. A picture of the Sophomore Contestants will be found in the Chronicle section of the Yearbook. Upper left: D. Riker and A. Weaver congratulate R. Salisbury, winner of Senior Contest. V954 After sponsoring a successful Hal- lowe'en Dance, the Dance Commit- tee, directed by Brother James, un- dertook the mammoth task of decor- ating the gym for the lVinter For- mal. So well did they do their task that one ol' the spectators was moy- ed to describe the scene in the fol- lowing poetic words: I stood under a canopy ot' hun- dreds of twinkling colored lights, shimmering stars and glazed icicles. Cozy nooks, sheltered from frosty pines and snow-clad hills by gay canopies, provided atmosphere for friendships and social courtesies. Later in the year the Dance Vom- mittee will put on a Spring Frolic in addition to the Military Ball in June. Y t'ommitt.eemen and Seniors who made the gym ova Y Y Kneeling: ll.
