Though still young, the boys have maintained the high stanclarcls of performance set by their illustrious predecessors. Able , commanded by Captain Larry Henzie and Lieutenants Art lfealey and Tom Engel, strives to keep its position as leader of the regiment in all respects, not in posi- tion only. Able company is also well rep- resentecl in the various school aC- tivities. John Politi, Orrin Barr, Ike Whalen, Austin Mctlarrol, Richard llenclall, Dan Hogarty and llon Lavigne were the mainstays of the very successful frosh football and basketball teams. Tom Engel, Frank Wallingford, Paul Schneider and l-Bruce Merges represented A company in varsity football while Lefty Johnson sparked the varsity basketball team. Since September they have worked hard and cooperated with the company officers in forming one of the hest outfits in the Regiment. An early honor for the company was an af- ternoon off won for their profic- iency in the Armistice day parades in Albany and Schenectady. The first platoon strove for per- fection under its hardworking Lieu- tenant Jim Doxsee, A lot of credit is due to Lieutenant Jim Howard whose efforts with the yearlings of the second platoon have begun to show real results. Jim is a perfec- tionist and some of this feeling' has rubbed off on his charges. I think the officers and the cadets of Halter company may be proud of their accomplishments during the year.
