Class Day 1953 was made memorable by the appearance of Brother C. Peter at the ceremony. He received the first copy of THE CADET as the dedicatee. Bert Gould and Bob Lawlor read the Class Prophecy. and the planting of the Class Tree conclud- ed the activities of Class Day. The Graduation Parade was post- poned from Sunday to Monday, June Gth. The Regiment, in their white and blue uniforms, gave a flawless performance as a tribute to the graduating' seniors. At the left: Miss Nancy Avakian, Color Girl of 1953. poses with Col. Johnson, Sgt. MlIEMlURllIES GIF MlAYflll.lINIE H953 The Spring Vonccrt of the Rand and tllee Club was again a brilliant display of the musical abil- ities ot' the Cladets. At the right, Pat Hagerty, Pat lienzi, Hob Johnson, Hill Lacombe, Joe Kosck, and Jim Clemens rehearse for their Dixieland number. The evening of May 2nd was very warm, but the Cadet Regiment put on its usual wonderful display ol' drilling and marching at the Annual Spring Drill. Lt. Colonel Albert Brown led the Regiment in the Physi- cal Drill, and Colonel Robert Johnson direct,- ed the smart - stepping Wansboro Rifles. The lVlemorial Day Parade of 1953 was held in a heavy downpour. It was the second wetting the Cadets had to take, as the May Day Parade also took place on a very rainy day. But as always the C. B. A. Reg- iment was smooth and colorful. Ji 7'
