The first defeat came at the hands of Peekskill Military Academy but the C. B. A. riflemen got back into the winning column by defeating N. Y. M. A. for the second time this year. Frank Doyle posted a high 191 in this match. The team's ability in shooting off- hand enabled them to take two close contests from La Salle, Troy and the West Point Frosh. Both of these matches were tied in points scored by each team, but a better mark in the off-hand score brought C. B. A. the victory in each competition. The team enjoyed its trip to New York but was unable to match the high score posted by Xavier and thus lost their second meet of the year. Xavier was also the school that fin- ished ahead of C. B. Rifle Team gained a conclusive vic- tory 943-916 against Peekskill Military Acad- emy, one of the two schools which had de- feated them in previous meetings. Remaining contests against Siena and La Salle, Troy, will bring to a finish a high- ly successful season. Rifle Team withdrew from the Hudson Valley League in order to devote itself to Competition against other military academies. The season, extending from November to March, was a most successful one.
