THE TRANSITICN The transition between Christian Broth- ers, Academy on Lodge Street and its establishment in its new set of buildings on University Heights is embodied ir1 the person ol' its venerable dean ol' the faculty, Rev. Brother A. Paulian. F.S.C. llis thirty-three years at the academy were divided between the old buildings and the new and more commodious ones. Ile was a member of the board ol' direc- tors that conceived the idea of building a new school, and then voted his approval for the gymnasium and faculty house, sup- porting wholeheartedly the financial drives which made possible each successive step in these glorious chapters of expansion and modernization. His never-failing devotion in extolling C.B.A.'s past glories has inspired many younger Brothers and their students to participate in the present school's more recent successes. The cadet at C.B.A. occupies much of his time outside ol' his regular class schedule with activities of all kinds, tending to develop many of his talents besides those intellectual developments attained through his regular studies. ln varying part of the picture we might see him in the regular school band or the select band, in Rev. Brother Thomas, Principal, and Rev. Brother Paulian, Dean, leaving after officially closing the school residence at Lodge Street, September, 1948. Activities the glee club, on The Sentry staff, on Thr Carle! staff, in dramatics, in public speaking, in various religious activities, or in the library. No matter what the activity, the cadet here learns some particular phase of work in which he may develop his aesthetic sense to some degree of ex- cellence and in a field of his own choosing. 44 77 7?
