MCLASS DF ,81 HI TDRY ln the beginning, this was a class of great potential and ambition. Somehow, one knew that this would someday be a very productive group of young people. ln the first grade, six of our present seniors attended Christian Academy. They are Doug Berry, Mendy Hughes, Tony Cook, Norman Butch Carson, David Sundance Slater, and l'Peski,' Narleski Wyriek. These original pioneers of the class of '81 grew together for four years, somehow keeping out oftoo much trouble. Doug slowly became known as Handcuffs Berry. Mendy was the pret- tiest little girl in the class, and Tony just stayed short. ln the fifth grade, three more of the present family joined up e Bryan Tidwell, Angie Sypert, and a shinny John Waddill. ln the next couple of years, Terri Thomas, Mary fthe Midgetj Boren and Edward DeWees came on the scene. By this time, John and Narleski were known as Salt and Pepper, and David was famous for his Elvis Presley impersonation. ln the eighth grade, the class was blessed with Gretchen Wagner and very shy Robert Johnston. Terri left that year, but returned later and is a present senior. The Freshman year rolls along, and who else but Pammy Poo Hearn should come along. Now the class is really excited about being in High School, and Robert Johnston has by this time come out of his shyness, and could do many impressions of his favorite U1 teachers. Leaving that year was Doug, but he also returned to be a part of the class of '81, The Sophomore plateau was a great one, with the additions of Gregg Young, Tommy West, and Howard tBrent Huger Krrressh Payne. Howard has provided many light moments ofjoy, and for this, he is greatly appreciated and thanked. The Junior year brought Dorothy Ting, a a student from Malaysia with many talents, and Rodney Ramzy, a great asset to our sports program. This year Bryan and Norman left, but returned, and are now vital parts of this group. Then, they were there. Finally! Seniors at last. Coming this year were David Murray, Bobby tBeagleJ Stegall, and Ken Moore, a terrific help to the basketball team. The class of 1981 is one of many personalities and vast versatility. Each member adds hisfher own uniqueness to form a group of individuals with great characteristics of success. Hats off to you, SEN IORS!!! 40 J
