At the request of the students, the FrenchfC1erman Clubs were formed so that students can experience French and German traditions, interact in a non-academic setting, and in general, increase their awareness of the world around them by exploring the cultural offerings of New York City. In keeping with these goals, the Clubs' mem- bers have visited the Statue of Liberty where they learned something about the immigrants' FRENCH AND story. The students have tasted German spe- cialties at their Oktoberfest at C. K., visited the Hayden Planetarium and the Museum of Nat- ural History and prepared a gingerbread house for a charity raffle at Christmas time. The members are now looking forward to lunch at the French restaurant L'Escarg0t and to the performance of the Nutcracker ballet at Lincoln Center. w e I 'P '--' '50, I X' 1 . , , 8 W on lv v F V, .HW WW I ff ' .
