Junior Varsity Respected throughout the city as a power to be reckoned with, the 1975-76 I.V. entered the playoffs determined to achieve higher goals than any team in CK's history. John Savage have molded their individual talents into a team! ,L J, ff' lla! L .,,.: I gi This year's J.V. Girls Basketball Team is one of the most high spirited teams that Christ the King has. The team consists of 12 athletic girls who have a lot of spirit. The team has great shooting and defense provided by Captain Denise Fernandez, Linda Rohr, Gladys Ayala, Roe Trainer and Rita Monte. Rebound is controlled by co-captain Cindy Ciaccio, Robin Smith, Pat Kincaid, Eleanor O'Sika, Kathy C1., and Cathy Nolan. Always ready for jump balls and rebounding is center Lynda Schmitt. The team is one of the best among the schools and altogether G-R-E-A-T. Freshmen Freshmen Possessing more height than any team in recent years at Christ the King, coach Tom Nuzzi directed the freshmen to the playoffs for the fourth time in five years. With their goal set on success at the varsity level, there is little doubt that the 75-76 Royals are being prepared for their role in CK athletics. Swimming It looks like CK's Swim Team is here to stay. Faced with the loss of many seniors the rest of the lively determined group seemed to have pulled through. The recruiting of new girls was difficult, but thanks to captain Eileen McDonald and co- captain Ann Swiatocha the team managed. The coach, for the past five years, Joanne McDonald, an alumnae, has continued to help the team survive by her teaching ability, spirit, and the hope for a winning team. At the weekly practices held Tuesday nights at Richmond Hill High School, the members work on their strokes, styles, and speeds. The girls have fun while working and competing, but most of all the CK spirit shines through. We hope our enthusiasm, which has continued to grow, will be shared by others coming to cheer us on at our swim meets. gg, in f 3 err i 172 ' A ii '15 ,ff Intramural Bowling In Intramural Bowling, people make their own teams and bowl the best they can. They ran in time with the panting of their breath and the beating of their hearts. And in one mighty noble effort they scooped up all the marbles and proudly became Queens of cross-country. For five of them it was their last attempt at the crown. And so they ran - Shea, Tartare, Zizzi, O'Driscoll, Train, Ruppert and Gaeta - happily ever after and after and after.
