Class Hlstor Chanter I I I When the doors of Chrlsney High School ooened in the fall of O fifty nine bewildered Freshmen entered The first thing we did was to organize our class by electing class officers They were President Gayla Hlnkle, Vice President -Garland Hagan, Secretary and Treasurer Leon Weber, Student Council Members Phyllis Stein and George Hagan Sbonsors Mr Ayer and Mr Banister On October 20 l95O was a day to remember, it was Initiation Day The girls wore their hair in oigtalls and dresses on backwards The boys wore dresses and carried a doll Only one new student, Patricia Johnson, entered our class during the Freshmen year Our class yell leaders were Carol Ayer Bobby Grubb, Gayla Hlnkle and Janet Lee Smith Phyllis Stein was Football and Basketball Queen Attendant Chanter II In the fall of '5l' we returned as Soohomores and found that sever al members of our class failed to return They were Shirley Beertzer Clifton Brown, Gayla Hlnkle, Paul Kuhn, Catherine Mannl J W Miller, Alice Nugent, Joyce Osklns, Mary Russell Cleta Sebrll, etty Weatherholt and Dorothy White We elected the following Class Officers, President Bobby Grubb, Vice President Garland Hagan, Secretary and Treasurer -George Hagan Shirley Dllger was Football Queen Attendant Bobby Grubb was Basketball Queen Attendant We gained one new class member our Sonhomore year Susie Chenault Chanter III As we entered our Junior year we received a name true to us, Jolly Juniors After looking over our class we found that several of our members had failed to return They were Dora Mae Howell, Raymond Jones, Larry qisse, Leo Strobel, and Joyce Trlnkle There also seemed to be several new faces among the class, Bill Shelby, Aubrey Bullinston, and Lester Walters We elected our class officers President -George Hagan, Vice Pres ident Jeneine Lovell, Secretary and Treasurer Charles Held Student Council Members were Glenda Jackson and Charles Held News Renorter was Janet Lee Smith Soonsors Mr Phillies and Miss Kincaid We received our class rings and sweaters N On December l7, l952 our class nresented the nlay entitled' 'Linda Lou Joyce Patmore was Fall Festival Queen Attendant Mildred Mont gomery was attendant for Miss Chrisney Glenda Jackson was Football Queen Attendant Erna Foertch was Basketball Queen On Avril 26, 1953 we honored the Seniors with a Banquet using the Dutch Theme I .
