A+ a dedicafion dance on January 20 fhe Senior Class of I94O presenfed a loud speaker lo 'rhe school. This speaker was mounfed on The norfh wall of fhe gymnasium and will be used for The announcing of ball games and for dance music af school parries. As anofher gill, The class has placed on 'rhe grounds a sign bearing fhe name of fhe school. During our senior year in high school we los'r fwo classmares, Jimmy Reynolds and Russell Houlf. A+ fhe middle of 'rhe year we gained a new member from Dana High School, Richard Bowling. The class ol l94O has represenfed Chrisman l-ligh School in many acfivilies. When six-man foorball was slarfed, nine of 'rhe senior boys were our for rhe sporf and pu? forfh every eliorf ro make if successful. Eighr of our boys were on rhe baskefball squad and nine were on 'rhe frack Team. Eleven of The band members were from our class. Twenry members from our class parficipafed in chorus work. Individual honors earned by members of our class are as follows: ln 'rhe Disfricl Solo and Ensemble Confesf Jusfin Wible, renor, and Don Ferry, barirone, placed in firsr division. Doris Eleanor Scofr placed in firsf division wirh a violin solo. The corner frio, composed of Deane Radabaugh, Kenf Clark, and Junior Craig, was also given firsl division honors. Virginia Lee Turner was elecled +0 be 'rhe D. A. R. repre- senfafive for Good Cifizenship for Chrisman High School This year.
