EIGHT LESTER TURNBAUGH PRINCIPALS MESSAGE STABILITY IN AN UNSTABILIZED WORLD This is a day of uncertainties. Will there be war in the near future? Will it be a total war threatening civilization itself? Will there be a major depression with its blighting effects on the youth of the world? Will inflation increase till it becomes almost impossible for a young couple to marry and develop a home and family life? Will labor and management continue to fight stub- bornly to the detriment of both groups? Will our nation develop leaders capable of coping with the national and international problems that threaten our very existence? ' None of us knows the answer to any of these questions. And yet, the effect upon all of us because of these conditions will be great. What can we do? Where can we turn for assistance and guidance? Will there be any kind of a peaceful world for us? Whether national or international peace will prevail we do not know. We do know, however, that there is a peace within that can be attained by each one of us, a peace that passeth all understanding. Such a peace, or such a stabilizing in- fluence, can come from a deep, abiding faith in a Supreme Being who is ready and willing at all times to comfort us and to guide us, Each one of us can, and should, regard- less of faith or denomination, develop within us that profound, unshakable faith in the God of us all that will keep us steadfast and unmovable in the midst of life's turmoil. Can you think of any more worthwhile attainment for you? I cannot.
