AAA ..vJlA.i v..yv- wo ' Anymore people who hate to walk-Get On! Yes we are going home! JENKINS HALL Ladies Jenkins Hall for women was founded on October 25. 1958. Dedicated in memory of Charles H. Jenkins and in honor of his mother Mrs. Olivia BenthaU Jenkins. Jenkins Hall is a modern two story building which pro- vides desirable and attractive accommodations for women at Chowan College. Sixty women reside in Jenkins Hall with Pam Riddle as head resident. Remodel- ing of Jenkins Hall will begin in 1986. Several times throughout the fall and spring semesters. Jenkins Hall sponsors popular movies for weekend activities. During Valen- tines the girls in Jenkins Hall create a Valentine sweetheart spirit by decorating their doors in various hearts, balloons and cupids. Numerous activities go on during the school year at Jenkins HaU. Dorm Life 27

The Ladies of BELK HALL Belk Hall for women was dedicated in the honor of Mrs. Ir- win Belk of Charlotte. North Carolina on October 17. 1964. The three story brick building houses one hundred fifty girls this year. The structure has a lounge on each of the three ftoors which pro- vides convenient built-in fur- niture. It is completely modern in design. Each room is air condi- tioned, heated and has ample desk space for studying. Under the direstion of Head Resident. Neal Stanfield. Belk Hall holds a respectable reputation as a residence hall. There are two resi- dent assistants on each floor whom the students can confide in and look to for assistance. During the Christman season. Belk Hall pelebrates with a week of secret Santa Claus presents ending with a Christmas party for all the residents. Belk Hall provides a com- fortable atmosphere to call home throughout the fall and spring semester. Nobody ever answers from the second floor! PARKER HALL Parker Hall, otherwise known as the Parker Hilton of Mur- freesboro. is occupied by two hun- dred and three residents. The con- struction started on this nine story men ' s dormitory on June 2. 1969 and was completed in 1970, The building is located on Union Street overlooking Chowan ' s Lake Vann. Modern in every aspect. Parker Hall is fully air conditioned and carries it ' s residents to their floors in elevp.tors. Parker Hall is named in honor of the late Klwood W. Parker of Murfreesboro.
