Dedication . . . The person being honored with the dedication of the 1978 CHOWANOKA first came to Chowan College twenty-one years ago. Since that time she has rendered the college continuous service in her dual role of First Lady and professor in the Department of Religion and Philosophy. Hundreds of students have been the recipient of her genuine friendhness, her wholesome attitude, and her dedication to service in the field of teaching. Her wilUngness to share with others demonstrates the unselfishness which is endearing to all who know her. In the classroom and on the campus, this professor maintains a sincere regard for the high principles upon which this institution was founded and upon which rests its continued success and monumental growth.
