Top Left: The Baptist Student Union was successful this year in accomplishing one of its many goals. The BSU won first place in the float contest during the parade on a rainy Homecoming Day. The log cahin represented a week and a half of hard work. The idea to build a log cabin was a challenge, but the help and teamwork of the group made the float a success. The BSU would like to express a very special thanks to Mr. Gilbert Tripp and Chaplain Taylor, their sponsors, for their patience and willingness to see them succeed. The 1975 Homecoming Queen, Paige Heishman, is a graduate of George C. Marshall High School in Fairfax Co.. Virginia. At Chowan, her major has been Liberal Arts but her plans for the future are to transfer to Madison College and pursue a major in psychol- ogy or sociology. Paige is concerned for the welfare of juvenile deliquents. As a result, she plans to work as a proba- tion officer in a juvenile court. STUDENT LIFE HOMECOMING
