It has become tradition at Chowan in the past for the Yearbook to be dedicated to an outstanding member of the faculty or administration It is the dream of each yearbook staff to set tradition aside and aim for the new with hopes of making their ideas tradition of the future. Instead of choosing this person ourseh ' es, the staff this year let the student iaody choose, by ballot in chapel, the faculty member whom they felt deserved this honor in hopes of making tradition. DEDICATION Each year, the student body votes to select a member of the faculty to whom THE CHOWANOKA is dedicated. Mrs. Undine Barnhill In 1965. this year ' s professor came to Chowan College. For eight years, her efforts to educate and understand students have been unceasing. Having become one of the best liked professors at Chowan the students wish to dedicate the 1973 CHOWANOKA to Mrs. Undine Barnhill.
